Just in case one wanted to be further educated about where to play Ms. Pacman, the bar in Dover is called Bubba's. You can also learn how to do the Percolator at Bubba's. Also, the JFK machine is near one of gates of the domestic terminal, so not only do you have to pay a dollar to play, but you also have to purchase a flight ticket to somewhere....like Arizona.

Do they really spell it Soulja Boy??

This is awesome. I never knew that Ms. Pacman was such a trailblazer. Sisters are doin it for themselves, or something.

Also remember there was a machine at that bar in Delaware. I think it was in Dover? That one where everyone but us knew how to do the Soulja Boy.

I would like to clarify that Yajai is my favorite Thai place for its...erm...ambiance and not necessarily its food. Just the fact that I can split an $8 meal at an aluminum folding table while watching "White Chicks" on their ginormous TV underneath an exquisite mural depicting Thai demons in hand-to-hand combat makes everything feel a little better in this world. And $3 for Tom Kha Gai. wooo.

I think all the words for *awesome* I know are also dated. The only things coming to mind are tight, sweet or the odious hot. I did go through a phase of saying "wooot" to everything. Actually I think I am still in the midst of it.

Oh and yes, the Taco Truck is truly poppin. He surely is el Rey.

I think the photo of the character from TV's DINOSAURS that you posted here looks like Ira Einhorn if he were a dinosaur...who sold office supplies.

I always liked terradactiles (sp?). My evolution prof's grandson showed me pictures of these flying wonders in a book...and some of them were the size of tractor trailers!!!! It really amused me, though, that the displays at AMNH continuously stress to everyone viewing these exhibits that all info started is MERELY SPECULATION! THEY CANNOT BE PROVEN! Just in case you thought the AMNH is stating these things as facts, THEY ARE NOT FACTS! But please, read on about what theory we pulled out of our butts today.

Disheartened by all this guessing, I decided to join the Mike Huckabee camp in believing that dinosaurs never existed and the earth is 6,000 years old.

Hey.
I'm impressed. Very cool site. More things that are awesome: cats (in the words of my friend Lefty "cats are so worth-it, am I right?" he's right.)
Quilts- good luck finding one that's actually hand-sewn (and not just hand-machine-sewn) these days. The older ones are amazing.
Electronics-- everyone's into computer stuff- no harm with that, silicon makes the world a better place in so so many ways. But fining a person, not just an amateur-hour bender (again, no dis on bendies but...) with a hot soldering iron and a real knowledge of the math behnind those resistors, transisstors etc? Art, my friend.

Kimonos. Where's a good kimono or japanes textile show- in Japan those guys get the title "national living treasure" - here it's scrap fabric for throw-pillows. Some Enthusiast should stop the western dumbing down of all that amazing intricate ceremonial work, to throw pillows and fodder for modern anime. (no dis on anime, but lets hear it for the art that inspired it.)

Glass-- lets talk about glass. It's a liquid, it's a solid, it can shatter 'like glass' or be bulletproof, you can make a talbe out of it, or blow it up like a giant wad of chewing gum. Mix it with gold and it turns dark ruby read. It anneals like metal but thermally behaves like stone. It's made of sand but in the right hands, it's worth more than weapons-grade plutonium.
And an ordinary window is still molten and poured and scored and 'broken' into windows, just like in ancient olden days.
Shout out to glass, all it does for us, and all the brilliant scientists and old-world craftspersons making magic of every-day objects.

So many things to be entusiastic about, so little time!

JL palomino, cause there's a J.Palomino in the NYC area who, well, isn't me. so -- hang with the middle initial there.

I feel like your blog should have an advert at the bottom saying something like...

This blog brought to you by the support of the national dairy council.

hahaha... But seriously... Most of your enthusiasm is brought about by various dairy products! I love it!!
